Federation University (Fed Uni) officials, Ms. Melissa Staley, Manager of the International Student Recruitment and Ms. Mardhie Coleman, Coordinator of International Nursing Students and Faculty of Health conducted a seminar last March 2, 2018, highlighting world class education through the international program for nursing, midwifery and information technology students. Ms. Staley provided a brief but interesting history of the university and toured the audience across all the campuses of FedUni through a presentation.
She discussed the course offerings, scholarship programs and other services that await prospective students. To talk about nursing and health-related courses, Ms. Coleman gave an overview of the career pathways offered by FedUni to students who are interested to enter the health industry. A representative from Manila Australian Trade and Investment Commission (AUSTRADE), Ms. Grace Halcon, also discussed the educational opportunities in Australia as offered by their agency.
The said event was attended by senior high school students, student nurses from the College of Nursing of the different campuses of AU, information technology students, INP students and AU faculty members. The audience were given the chance to ask the speakers about the program during the open forum. They were delighted to know about AU’s newest partnership with FedUni because of the unique educational experience within their reach.
Arellano University has established partnerships with universities in USA and Western Australia and offers an international nursing program wherein students study for three years in the Philippines and complete their final year in their chosen partner schools. This latest collaboration with Fed Uni presents the students who wish to take up Nursing, Midwifery and Information Technology an opportunity to study on the Eastern seaboard of Australia through the same 3+1 pathway.
