     Jose Rizal High School, one of the two Arellano University campuses in Malabon City, was the venue for this year’s Founder’s Day, the celebration of the birth anniversary of the founder and first President of Arellano University, Mr. Florentino Cayco Sr. The theme of the celebration was Florentino Cayco Sr. Founder, Father, Friend, Educator, Nationalist and Democratic Leader.

     Members of the Cayco family, administration officials, deans and program chairs and teachers attended the program. Students were also present in spite of the ‘no-class’ declaration due to the nation-wide jeepney strike.

     Ms. Lourdes Mudlong, Asst. Vice President, invited the guests to see the other Malabon campus, Elisa Esguerra Campus, which has been rebuilt after a number of years, for use of senior high schools beginning this school year.

The New Elisa Esguerra Building. AVP Lourdes Mudlong showed the guests aroun the newly constructed building, with 36 classrooms, presently housing 3,604 senior high school students.
