It was a fun-filled afternoon on October 5, 2017 when a 3000- strong Grades 11 and 12 senior high school students of the Main Campus of Arellano University celebrated Teacher’s Day with a program honoring their teachers. The 150 teachers were presented to the students, and were given special seats as guests of honor in the afternoon activity.
Different sections presented dances, songs, games and raffle to their guests and Certificates of Recognition were given to the mentors.
Ms. Anavelle Gambayan, Principal of the High School Department delivered the Welcome Remarks, and being a classroom teacher herself for many years, thanked the teachers for the good work they are doing.
The much-awaited AU band concert, held annually in Arellano University campuses had, its initial performance at the Main Campus on Sept. 27 with seven bands playing to senior high school and college students of the Main Campus and Plaridel Campus, AU in Mandaluyong City , who made up the more than three thousand five hundred shrieking, singing and dancing audience.
The bands which performed were SUD, Silent Sanctuary, Miro Rivera of the Stone free, LunarLights, Absolute Play, Hale and Sponge Cola.
Equally noisy and fun-filled was the scenario at the Jose Rizal Campus, AU in Malabon City where SUD, Silent Sanctuary , Miro Rivera and the Stonefree, Paraluman and Callalily performed on September 29.
The schedule for the other campuses, at press time, has not been confirmed.
This year’s free concert was sponsored by Vivo, a Chinese technology company that designs, develops, and manufactures smartphones, smartphone accessories, software, and online services.
