Ms. Ang-Mondiguing, on the other hand, courageously shared her fear of public speaking. “Leadership is showing up for your constituents,” she expressed, highlighting the essence of leadership through presence and accountability.
Meanwhile, Ms. Mancenido encouraged all leaders to stay grounded in purpose. "Bilang mga lider, kayo ang inaasahang maging gabay, hindi lamang sa direksyon kundi sa puso ng bawat miyembro ng ating unibersidad," she stated, urging leaders to lead not only with strategy but also with compassion and empathy.
Eventually, the ceremony reached its core moment, the official oath-taking. This was led by Ms. Sonia Dignadice, a former student leader as president of the Nursing Society and current Director for Alumni Services. "I will always be proud to give back," she shared, as she encouraged the new leaders to embrace responsibilities, grow through failures, and lead with empathy.
To cap off the afternoon, Krizel Mie Yano from Manila Campus, the newly elected Supreme Student Council President and became the first female president in six years, emphasized the value of service-oriented leadership. "As student leaders, we are nothing without the students we serve," reminding her peers that their leadership is defined by the voices and needs of the students they serve.
Indeed, the Induction 1and Oath-Taking Ceremony did not only affirm roles but also ignited a deeper sense of responsibility and community. As the academic year moves forward, the newly elected leaders of the Juan Sumulong Campus are now officially empowered. Ready to serve, inspire, and lead the student body with purpose under the CHIEFS framework.
Arellano University extends its warmest congratulations to all newly inducted student leaders. The university looks forward to a dynamic and productive year ahead, filled with initiatives that will further enhance student engagement and uphold the university’s commitment to excellence.
